Retrieving Roll

After almost 10 years of helping dogs find the joy in the retrieve, and handlers finding the joy of delivery to hand, the new, revised, revamped and, to quote one of the early reviews, 'a superior beast', was launched 1st November 2024.

The Lez Graham Retrieving Roll is a wonderful way to introduce canvas at a young age. As the puppy matures and goes onto larger and more unusual dummies, the Retrieving Roll can act as a transitional aid to give your dog confidence as he moves into more ‘grown up’ training by simply wrapping the Retrieving Roll around the new or ‘scary’ item, be that a dummy, cold game or anything else you want them to pick up.

As a remedial aid, the Retrieving Roll should be part of every gundog trainer’s kit. Tucked away is a little pouch where you can hide a treat; the reluctant retrievers learn really quickly that the only way they can get the treat is to return the Retrieving Roll to you. As the dog gets more proficient in returning the dummy then delivery to hand can be insisted upon before the treat is forthcoming. Perfect.

As well as making the pouch more secure and adding a QR code, the Lez Graham Retrieving Roll is now available in four colours: green, blue, orange and white.

This means that not only can you use the Retreiving Roll for adding contrast to your dummies, but you can also use it as a way of adding complexity to a simple retrieve, by changing from blue or white (easily seen in any environment) to green, which is a bit more challenging, to the ultimate orange, which dogs find difficult to see against grass... which means they need to use their nose more.
